About this rhythm
Djabara is a kind of instrument played by the women.
It is a calabash covered with a net braided with cowrie shells.
It’s from the Wassolon-region and is a rhythm of greeting of guests of the village.
During the colonization, it was urged to play this rhythm for French government officials.
